After 30 Years Of Chaos She Decided To Renovate Her Dreadful Old House. But When She Finished The Neighbors Couldn’t Believe Their Eyes
A woman from Idaho inherited her grandmother’s house. The house was old and ruined and no one took care of it for 30 years.
She accepted the challenge and renovated the house in such detail that it is now unrecognizable! The farmhouse built in the 1970s is located in Boise, Idaho. The present owner inherited the house from her grandmother. It was terrible mess and it took a lot of effort to become what it is now. After the owner’s grandmother died, the house was empty and unattended for entire 30 years.
With an area of 65m² the house has only one bedroom. The new owner was aware that there will be a lot of work, but remained committed to the project and was happy to renovate the house for her family. It’s hard to believe that someone actually wanted to move here considering its condition.
Fortunately, there was no structural damage, only one part of the wall in that was rebuilt because of the moisture. Given the fact that this house was empty for three decades, that’s not so bad! When the new owner realized that the renovation is more about the design and modernization of the house, she decided to explore the aesthetic possibilities. The exterior is now completely different with a new coat of paint and new gutters.
When we remember what this house looked like, a ruined farmhouse, it’s hard to believe this is the same one. The house now has beautiful wooden floors and new appliances. It has an amazing kitchen with stainless steel appliances, beautiful tiles and working area made of dark wood. When everything was done and completed by the smallest detail, the owner was finally able to move in.
During the renovation, a cat got into the house and the new owner decided to keep it. The renovation was approximately between 35 and 40 thousand dollars, according to the owner. However, when she moved in, not everything was finished. Shortly after moving in, she realized that there is no septic tank, and that all waste water discharged from her household piled behind the house.
The excavation of the septic tank has been hard, but in the she managed to complete this last task. Her dedication and hard work have definitely paid off. She did something that many people wouldn’t even start! Now the new owner loves her new home!
